Best Trading Bots for the Crypto.com Exchange in 2026: Who Actually Connects, What It Costs, and the Two Quirks Every Bot Must Handle

Searching for a Crypto.com trading bot turns up two sources of confusion before you get to a list. The first is that Crypto.com runs two products with separate balances, the App and the Exchange, and only the Exchange has a trading API. The second is that several bot platforms that used to list Crypto.com no longer do, and some that do list it support only part of it. This guide sorts the real options as of October 2026, what each costs, what a Crypto.com key needs, and the two quirks of this venue that a bot has to handle. It is education, not advice.
One disclosure up front: we build one of the options below. Every line here is a fact you can check on each vendor's own site, and the links go there.
Does Crypto.com allow trading bots?
Yes, on the Exchange. Crypto.com's Exchange API supports REST, WebSocket and FIX connections with keys you create in API Management, and its terms allow third-party platforms to trade with a member's key. Two rules apply that most exchanges do not have. A trading key only works from IP addresses on its whitelist, so any bot platform has to give you an address to add. And the API does not accept stop orders, so every stop, trailing stop and profit target has to be run by the bot platform's own monitors. We learned both the hard way building our connection.
The App has no trading API. A deposit made in the App stays in the App, and a key created on the Exchange only sees the Exchange balance, so money has to be transferred to the Exchange before any bot can use it. Crypto.com's own API article covers key creation.
What are the real options for automating a Crypto.com Exchange account in 2026?
- Cryptohopper. Strategy marketplace, copy bots and a visual designer. Its docs list Crypto.com explicitly as the Exchange API, not the App. Pricing on October 18, 2026: Explorer $29 a month ($24.16 annual), Adventurer $69 ($57.50), Hero $129 ($107.50); no permanent free plan since June 2026, three-day trial. Crypto only.
- Bitsgap. Grid, DCA and combo bots with a demo mode. Its exchange list includes Crypto.com. Pricing: Basic $29 a month ($23 annual), Advanced $69 ($55), Pro $149 ($119), plus a limited free tier and a seven-day Pro trial. Crypto only.
- Coinrule. Rule builder with templates. Its website lists Crypto.com among 25-plus exchanges; its developer docs list a shorter set, so confirm the connection in a free account before paying. Pricing: free plan, then Investor $29.99, Trader $59.99 and Pro $449.99 a month, each with a 0.02% fee on traded volume.
- JorgAI. An AI auto-trading platform rather than a bot builder: the AI scans the market and proposes trades, and your rules decide what gets placed and when it exits (stop, trailing stop, profit target, daily loss limit, position caps, optional approval of every buy). Connects to the Crypto.com Exchange with a trading-only key whitelisted to one fixed address, runs the stops on its own servers because the venue's API has none, and connects to five stock brokers and two other crypto venues from the same account. Pricing: Starter $14.99 a month, Pro $99, Elite $199, no fee on traded volume, 7-day free trial without a card. Crypto.com setup guide.
- 3Commas: not currently. The most-cited bot platform lists nine exchanges on October 18, 2026, and Crypto.com is not one of them, although older articles still say otherwise. Check the live list before assuming.
- Self-hosted software. Gunbot sells a license for software you run yourself and lists Crypto.com among its exchanges. Full control, no third party holding your key, and you are the operations team.
Which permissions and settings does a Crypto.com bot key need?
Trading on, Withdrawal off, and the bot platform's IP address on the whitelist. That third item is the one people miss: a key without the address can read your balance normally and has every order rejected, which looks like a broken bot rather than a missing setting. Any platform that connects to Crypto.com should tell you its address up front; ours is 32.195.173.11, fixed, and it is printed on the connect screen. What a trading-only key can and cannot do covers the rest of the permission model, which is the same on every exchange.
Two things a Crypto.com bot has to handle that most exchanges do not
- Fees come out of the coin on buys. Crypto.com takes its buy fee from the asset you bought, so a position bought as 0.00012 BTC holds slightly less than that. A bot that tries to sell the amount it bought gets an insufficient-balance rejection. The platform has to clamp sells to the deliverable balance, and a little dust is left after each round trip. Kraken, by contrast, takes buy fees from dollars.
- No stop orders through the API. A stop-loss sent to the Crypto.com Exchange API comes back disabled. The bot platform's monitors have to watch the price and send the exit themselves, and a protective exit that misses as a limit should be re-sent at market. Ask any vendor how it handles that before you rely on a stop.
What does automation on Crypto.com cost in fees?
Crypto.com's fee schedule starts at 0.25% maker and 0.50% taker below $10,000 of 30-day volume. Bots that enter and exit at market pay the taker rate, so a $1,000 round trip costs about $10 before spread; our October test fills paid 0.50% each way. How crypto fees compound and the measured fee and spread comparison across Kraken, Crypto.com and Alpaca have the arithmetic, including the finding that Crypto.com's quoted spreads on the smaller pairs were as tight as Kraken's in our sample.
How should you decide?
- You want a fixed pattern (grid, DCA) and you will tune it yourself: Bitsgap or Cryptohopper. Confirm Crypto.com is in the plan tier you buy.
- You want to write your own rules: Coinrule, after confirming the Crypto.com connection works in the free plan.
- You want the trade selection done for you and your job to be the risk rules: JorgAI, especially if you also hold stocks at a broker. How to choose an AI trading bot lists the questions to ask any vendor in this category.
- You also keep coins on Kraken: the Kraken version of this list has one more mainstream option (3Commas) and no IP whitelist to manage.
Whichever you pick, the market never closes, and on this venue the bot's monitoring is the only stop you have. Trading a market that never closes covers what that means in practice.
If you keep crypto on the Crypto.com Exchange and the third option fits, the setup takes about two minutes: a trading-only key, the whitelist address, paste, done. Auto-trading stays off until you switch it on.
Quick answers
What is the best trading bot for Crypto.com? It depends on the job. Bitsgap and Cryptohopper run grid and DCA patterns you configure; Coinrule runs rules you write; JorgAI picks trades with AI and enforces your risk rules, across Crypto.com and stock brokers; Gunbot is self-hosted. 3Commas does not list Crypto.com as of October 2026.
Does Crypto.com have a built-in trading bot? No. The Crypto.com Exchange provides the API; the bots come from third parties. The Crypto.com App has no trading API at all.
Why does my Crypto.com API key read my balance but reject every order? The key is missing either the Trading permission or the IP whitelist entry for the bot's address. Reads work without either; orders are rejected with an authentication error.
Can a bot set a stop-loss on Crypto.com? Not through the Exchange API, which does not accept stop orders. The bot platform has to run the stop on its own servers and send the exit when the price is hit.
How much does a Crypto.com bot cost? Subscriptions on this list run from free tiers to about $30 a month at entry level and $130 to $150 for top tiers; JorgAI starts at $14.99. Crypto.com's own fees (0.50% taker at the entry tier) usually cost more than the subscription on an active account.
Prices and exchange lists checked on each vendor's website on October 18, 2026; they change, so confirm before you subscribe. JorgAI is the author's product. This article is education, not investment advice.
