3Commas Alternative for Kraken and Crypto.com in 2026: Bots, Prices, API Keys and What Each Platform Actually Automates

3Commas and JorgAI automate a crypto account in two different ways, and the first filter is simpler than any feature list: 3Commas connects to Kraken and does not connect to the Crypto.com Exchange; JorgAI connects to both. If your coins are on Crypto.com, 3Commas is not a candidate. If they are on Kraken, the choice is between a bot builder (3Commas: DCA, grid and signal bots you configure and run, from $20 a month) and an AI trader that proposes and places trades under caps you set (JorgAI, from $14.99 a month, stocks and crypto in one account). The rest of this page is the detail that decides it.
We built the Kraken and Crypto.com connections at JorgAI, so this is a comparison from one side of it. Everything said about 3Commas comes from 3commas.io and its pricing page as read on October 26, 2026, and we have linked them so you can check. The earlier 3Commas alternative for stocks covers the case where equities enter the picture; this page stays on the exchanges.
What each platform is
- 3Commas is a crypto bot platform running since 2017. You connect an exchange API key and configure bots: a DCA bot that ladders buys into a position and sells at a target, a grid bot that places a lattice of buy and sell orders across a range, a signal bot that executes TradingView alerts, and Smart Trade, a manual order ticket with trailing take-profit and stop-loss attached. The bots run the mechanics you set; the strategy is yours. It lists nine exchanges: Binance, Hyperliquid, Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Gate, Kraken, KuCoin and Coinbase.
- JorgAI is an AI trading platform for brokerage and exchange accounts. You connect the account (Kraken, Crypto.com Exchange or Alpaca for crypto; Schwab, Alpaca, Tradier, tastytrade and E*TRADE for stocks), set your risk rules, and the platform's models scan your pairs, propose trades with a written reason, and place the ones that clear your rules, with a stop, a target and an optional trailing stop managed around the clock. There are no grids or DCA ladders to configure and no TradingView signals; the decision engine is the product. An approval mode holds every buy until you confirm it.
Exchanges and permissions
- Kraken: both. On both platforms the key needs query and trade permissions and must not have withdraw; the Kraken key setup is the same ten minutes either way.
- Crypto.com Exchange: JorgAI only, by trading key with the platform's address on the key's IP whitelist and withdrawal off (setup guide). 3Commas does not list Crypto.com.
- Binance, Bybit, OKX, Coinbase, KuCoin, Hyperliquid, Bitget, Gate: 3Commas only. JorgAI does not connect to them.
- Stocks and ETFs: JorgAI only, through the brokers above. 3Commas is crypto-only.
- Futures and leverage: 3Commas on its Pro and Expert plans. JorgAI trades spot only, on every venue.
On both platforms the key you hand over can trade and cannot withdraw, which is the line that matters; what a trading-only key can and cannot do is its own page. One historical note for the risk file: in December 2022, 3Commas confirmed that a set of its users' exchange API keys had been leaked, and users were told to revoke and re-create their keys. It is the reason to grant keys with no withdrawal scope and an IP whitelist where the exchange offers one, on any platform.
Prices, side by side
List prices as published October 26, 2026. Both charge a subscription and nothing per trade; the exchange's own fees apply on both (at the entry tiers, Kraken 0.40% maker / 0.80% taker and Crypto.com 0.25% / 0.50%, compared in the head-to-head).
- 3Commas Starter: $20 a month, $15 on annual. Spot only, 1 API key, 5 DCA bots, 2 signal bots, 2 grid bots, Pine Script execution.
- 3Commas Pro: $50 a month, $38 on annual. Spot and futures, 5 API keys, 20 DCA, 20 signal and 10 grid bots.
- 3Commas Expert: $140 a month, $105 on annual. 25 API keys, 1,000 of each bot type, developer API with write access.
- JorgAI Starter: $14.99 a month, $11.99 on yearly. 3 automated trades a day, 4 crypto analyses a day, stocks and crypto, 7-day free trial.
- JorgAI Pro: $99 a month, $79 on yearly. 15 automated trades a day, 15 crypto analyses a day, ensemble analysis and day trading, 7-day free trial.
- JorgAI Elite: $199 a month, $149 on yearly. Unlimited automated trades, 40 crypto analyses a day, no trial.
The cheapest paid tier is within five dollars either way. Above that the two scales measure different things: 3Commas prices by how many bots and keys you can run, JorgAI by how many decisions a day the models make and act on in your account. A 3Commas Starter user with two grid bots running all month and a JorgAI Starter member whose account gets up to three automated trades a day are both paying about $15 for very different amounts of activity. Full JorgAI limits are on the pricing page; both platforms publish a demo or paper option, 3Commas on every plan and JorgAI's on Alpaca.
What runs when you are asleep
This is where the two models diverge most, and it is worth being exact. A 3Commas grid or DCA bot is a standing set of resting orders at the exchange plus the platform's logic for replacing them; once configured, it keeps placing and re-placing orders in its range without a decision from anyone. JorgAI runs a scan of the member's pairs every ten minutes, ranks the setups, and sends the best of them to the models within the member's daily analysis budget; a trade happens only when an analysis clears the member's confidence floor, per-trade cap, daily spend limit and daily loss limit. On a Starter plan that is a handful of analyses a day, spread across the day, which is deliberate: it is a small account's budget, not a bot that trades every candle.
Exits are the other half. Neither Kraken nor Crypto.com will link a stop-loss to a take-profit on the exchange, so on both platforms the software manages paired exits. 3Commas does it inside each bot's settings; JorgAI does it from the stop, target and trailing stop on every position, enforced around the clock, including on Fed Sundays, which the record of Bitcoin after Fed decisions shows is not a hypothetical.
Who should pick which
- You run grids, DCA ladders or TradingView signals and want to keep running them: 3Commas, if your exchange is on its list. JorgAI does not offer those mechanics.
- You trade futures or with leverage: 3Commas Pro or Expert. JorgAI is spot only.
- Your coins are on the Crypto.com Exchange: JorgAI; 3Commas does not connect there.
- You want the software to decide, within your rules, and explain each trade: JorgAI. 3Commas executes the strategy you configured; it does not generate one.
- You hold stocks and crypto and want one set of caps across both: JorgAI, with the exchange and the broker connected to the same account.
- You trade on Binance, Bybit, OKX or Coinbase: 3Commas. JorgAI does not support them today; the public broker roadmap lists what is next.
The wider lists of bots for Kraken and bots for the Crypto.com Exchange cover the other names with verified prices. Connecting a Kraken or Crypto.com key to JorgAI takes about ten minutes from the start page, and the 7-day trial on Starter and Pro is long enough to watch what the models do with your pairs before anything is charged.
Quick answers
Does 3Commas work with Crypto.com? No. As of October 26, 2026, 3Commas lists nine exchanges (Binance, Hyperliquid, Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Gate, Kraken, KuCoin, Coinbase) and the Crypto.com Exchange is not among them. JorgAI connects to the Crypto.com Exchange by trading key.
Does 3Commas work with Kraken? Yes. Kraken is on 3Commas's exchange list, and JorgAI also connects to Kraken. On both, the key needs trade permission and no withdraw permission.
How much does 3Commas cost compared with JorgAI? 3Commas: $20, $50 and $140 a month ($15, $38 and $105 on annual). JorgAI: $14.99, $99 and $199 a month ($11.99, $79 and $149 on yearly), with a 7-day trial on the first two tiers.
Is JorgAI a grid bot or a DCA bot? No. It is an AI trader: it analyzes the member's pairs, proposes trades with reasons, and places the ones that clear the member's risk rules, with stops and targets managed by the platform. Grid and DCA mechanics are what 3Commas offers.
