Intraday scans and trailing stops
Once positions are opened (manually or via auto-trading), Jorg AI continuously monitors them for exit conditions.
Position monitoring:
Jorg AI continuously monitors all open positions during market hours and checks them against your configured exit conditions - profit target, stop-loss, trailing stop, and min-hold. When any condition is met, a sell order is placed automatically.
Trailing stop behavior:
The trailing stop tracks the highest price reached since the position was opened. If the price drops by more than your trailing stop percentage from that peak, a sell is triggered. This lets you ride upward momentum while protecting gains.
Example:
- You buy AAPL at $150 with a 3% trailing stop
- Price rises to $165 (trailing stop is now $160.05)
- Price drops to $160 - no trigger (still above $160.05)
- Price drops to $159 - trailing stop triggers, position sold
Notifications:
You receive a notification for every auto-sell, including the exit reason (profit target hit, stop-loss triggered, trailing stop triggered, or min-hold exit).
