Circuit breaker and max daily loss
The circuit breaker is a safety mechanism that pauses auto-trading when daily losses exceed your configured threshold.
How it works:
- Set a "Max Daily Loss" amount in Settings > Trading (e.g., $500)
- Throughout the trading day, Jorg AI tracks your cumulative realized losses
- If losses exceed your threshold, auto-trading is paused until the next trading day
- You receive a notification when the circuit breaker triggers
- Manual trading remains available even when auto-trading is paused
Why it matters:
Volatile markets can cause a cascade of losing trades. The circuit breaker prevents the AI from compounding losses during adverse conditions.
Resumption:
Auto-trading automatically resumes at the next market open. You can also manually unpause it in Settings.
