Symbol selection: Watchlist vs. AI picks
When auto-trading runs, it needs to know which symbols to analyze and trade. This is controlled by the "Auto-Trade Scope" setting.
Watchlist mode (default):
Auto-trading only analyzes and trades symbols on your watchlist. This gives you full control over which assets the AI considers. Add symbols to your watchlist that you've researched and are comfortable holding.
AI Picks mode (AI Free Range):
Your watchlist symbols are still included - Free Range adds discovery on top rather than replacing your list. The AI additionally scans top gainers, most active stocks, and (for aggressive risk profiles) top losers, filtering out invalid symbols like warrants and preferred shares automatically. If you have a Sector Focus set in the AI Personality tab, it applies to these discovered symbols only: discovery respects your sectors, while your watchlist is always considered.
How to change:
Go to Settings > Trading and find "Auto-Trade Scope." Choose "Watchlist Only" or "AI Picks."
Recommendation: Start with Watchlist mode so you maintain control over which symbols are traded. Switch to AI Picks once you're comfortable with the platform's recommendations.
