How to redeem a referral credit

When you earn a free month from a referral, it doesn't apply to your bill automatically. You'll claim it from the Referrals page with one click.

Step by step:

1. Open the Referrals page
2. Look for the "Free months waiting for you" section near the top - it only appears if you have an unredeemed credit
3. Each available credit shows up as its own row, with the tier and how soon it expires
4. Tap the Redeem button on the credit you want to use
5. A toast confirms it worked, and the credit disappears from the list. Your next Stripe invoice will include the free month as a one-time discount

Things worth knowing:

• You need an active paid subscription to redeem a credit (it applies as a discount on your next invoice)
• If you're on a free plan, your credit waits until you upgrade - it doesn't expire while you're free
• Each credit redeems against one month of the tier it was earned at (Pro credits redeem at Pro pricing, Elite credits at Elite pricing, etc.)
• If you have multiple credits available, you can redeem one now and another on a later invoice
• Credits expire 12 months after they were earned, so don't sit on them forever

Why isn't my credit showing up?

• Your referred friend hasn't completed their first paid month yet (the credit is created the moment their first payment clears, not at signup)
• Your friend cancelled within the 14-day window, which voided the credit
• The 12-month expiration window has passed
• If none of the above and you still don't see a credit you expected, contact support
