Connecting your brokerage account

Jorg AI connects to one of three supported brokers (your choice): Alpaca Markets, Tradier, or Charles Schwab. Only one broker can be connected at a time. Jorg AI never holds your funds - all money stays in your brokerage account.

• Alpaca - commission-free stocks, supports crypto, supports dollar-amount orders
• Tradier - stocks and ETFs only (no crypto), share quantities only, and $0.35 per stock trade unless you are on Tradier's $10/mo Pro plan
• Charles Schwab - commission-free stocks, no crypto

Option A: Alpaca (API keys)

1. Sign up for free at alpaca.markets
2. Open your Alpaca dashboard
3. Navigate to API Keys section
4. Click "Generate New Key"
5. Copy both the API Key ID and the Secret Key
6. In Jorg AI, go to Settings > Broker, pick the Alpaca tile
7. Paste both keys and click Connect Alpaca

Option B: Tradier (access token + account number)

1. Have a funded Tradier Brokerage account at tradier.com
2. In Tradier, open My Account > API Access and create an Access Token
3. Note your Account Number (shown on your Tradier dashboard)
4. In Jorg AI, go to Settings > Broker, pick the Tradier tile
5. Paste the Access Token and Account Number, then click Connect Tradier

Leave the sandbox checkbox unticked for live trading - tick it only if you are testing against Tradier's paper sandbox.

Two Tradier limits to know: Tradier cannot trade crypto (if you attempt a crypto order, Jorg AI blocks it before it reaches Tradier and tells you your broker does not support it), and Tradier does not accept dollar-amount orders, so position sizing is converted to a share quantity for you.

Option C: Charles Schwab (OAuth sign-in)

1. Have a Charles Schwab brokerage account (accounts inherited from TD Ameritrade count)
2. In Jorg AI, go to Settings > Broker, pick the Schwab tile
3. Click Connect with Schwab
4. Sign in on the schwab.com page that opens and approve access
5. Schwab redirects you back to Jorg AI and you're connected

Jorg AI never sees your Schwab password or your two-factor code - Schwab handles the sign-in itself and only returns an authorization token to us.

Security: All broker credentials (API keys or OAuth tokens) are encrypted before being stored. They are never logged, never returned in API responses, and are only decrypted in memory when executing trades. Access is revocable at any time.

Switching brokers: Disconnecting the current broker wipes trade history, positions, predictions, and cash activity for a clean slate. When you connect a new broker your positions and balances are synced automatically.
