Broker fees - what each broker actually costs you
Jorg AI never charges you per trade. Your broker does, and the three brokers price very differently. Jorg AI's trade history shows the raw price difference; your broker deducts its fees separately.
Stocks and ETFs
- Alpaca - commission-free
- Tradier - $0.35 per trade on the free Lite plan, $0 on the Pro plan ($10/month)
- Charles Schwab - commission-free
If you auto-trade on Tradier, get the Pro plan. On Lite you pay $0.35 to buy and $0.35 to sell, so $0.70 per completed round trip no matter the position size. At 15 auto-trades a day that is about $10.50 a day, roughly $220+ a month. Pro costs $10 a month and makes those trades free, so it pays for itself almost immediately. Small positions suffer most: $0.70 on a $100 position is 0.7 percent, which can exceed the AI's entire profit target.
Crypto
- Alpaca - supported. Maker/taker fee, typically 0.25 percent per side on market orders (about 0.5 percent round trip). Set crypto targets above 1 to 2 percent so fees do not eat the gain.
- Tradier - not supported at all. Attempting a crypto order is blocked before it reaches Tradier.
- Charles Schwab - not supported.
Options (if you trade them yourself; the auto-trader does not)
- Tradier - $0.35 per contract on Lite, $0 on Pro, index options $0.35 (or $0.10 on Pro Plus)
- Schwab - $0.65 per contract
- Alpaca - not offered through Jorg AI
Regulatory fees (all brokers, on sells)
Small pass-through fees to the SEC and FINRA, not kept by your broker. Cents on a typical trade; they only matter if you trade very frequently.
Other Tradier account fees: $50/year inactivity fee if your balance is under $2,000 and you place fewer than 2 trades in a year, $30/year IRA fee (waived on Pro), $75 outgoing account transfer, $30 domestic wire.
The honest bottom line: trust the Portfolio Value chart on your Portfolio page over the sum of individual trade P&L. That chart comes straight from your broker and already reflects every fee. If it is flat while your trade history looks profitable, fees are the reason.
