Setting up Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of protection to your account beyond your password.

How to enable:

  1. Go to Settings > Security
  2. Click "Enable 2FA"
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.)
  4. Alternatively, manually enter the secret key displayed below the QR code
  5. Enter the 6-digit verification code from your app to confirm
  6. Save your backup codes in a safe place

How it works:

  • Uses the TOTP standard (RFC 6238)
  • Generates a new 6-digit code every 30 seconds
  • Required on every login when enabled
  • 1-window tolerance for time drift between your device and the server

Important: If you lose access to your authenticator app and your backup codes, you will need to contact support to regain access to your account. Store your backup codes securely.
